Helping You To Become A Safe Driver
Driving Lessons In Wigan
Learning to drive can be pretty expensive but today we are going to show you how to save over £500 on getting your driving licence. When we teach you to drive the secret is all about knowing how to be a safe driver...
How To Save £500
Let me tell you that the average number of hours taken with a professional driving instructor is 47. And that is when you also add in another 20 hours of private practice, so with mum, dad, friends or family etc.
Now this is just an average, and I know you that if you plan your lessons you ought to be taking 7-10 hours off that average and you won't need the private practice.
10 hours will save you in the region of £250 and not needing to add yourself onto the insurance of a parents car for 10 weeks or so will save you around £300.
What you need to do is commit to taking 2 to 4 hours of driving a week. Mr and Mrs average will also include people who take one hour a week; or end of skipping weeks. The problem with one hour a week or missing weeks is you forget what you have learned, therefore you end up taking more driving lessons.
However if you take 2 to 4 hours a week you soak up and retain a lot more information, meaning you need fewer driving lessons. Using this strategy can easily save you £500.
What To Expect On Your First Driving Lesson?
Regardless of your experience, because you may not be a beginner your first lesson will start in a quiet area, away from friends and family waving you off and wishing you good luck, or from curtain twitching neighbours. The idea is to help you have a stress free drive.
On your first lesson I will share with you what you will be doing on every lesson, I explain this later on in this page under the heading of how to pass first time.
Soon enough you will be all positioned, feeling comfortable and you will turn the ignition key and get going. The aim of the lesson is for you to start to feel in control and to drive.
What Services Do We Cover?
You may not need beginner lessons so I also have other lessons for part trained, driving test rescue, confidence building and also intensive driving courses in Wigan.

How Do You Know When You Are Ready For The Driving Test?
Before you take your driving test you will have completed a progress report form, it's a list of all the skills you need to do and it records your ability. You also need to have passed a mock test and to be driving without my support. Once you have done these three points you have all the skills and confidence you need to pass your driving test.
How To Pass First Time
Every learner driver would like to pass first time.
I will teach and show you this on your first driving lesson and I will help you to do this all the way through your training.
1. You need to drive like a person wanting to drive safely.
2. You need to be aware of your surroundings, spotting hazards and taking the right action.
3. You have to be in control of the car at all times.
4. You must obey the Highway Code
If you can do that then you are going to pass, but I want you doing this on every driving lesson so you become a natural and safe driver.
